Beckhoff offers multi-touch Control Panels and Panel PCs, e.g. for 5-finger touch:
CP2xxx for wall installation and CP3xxx for mounting arm installation. In addition to the familiar display sizes 12-, 15- and 19-inch in 4:3 format, wide-screen (16:9) panels are available in the sizes 7-, 15.6-, 18.5- and
24-inch. All displays are also offered in portrait format.
PC-based control replaces standard PLC
The modular Embedded PCs of the 2nd generation offer more possibilities on the DIN rail. The modules are alternatively equipped with the following processors: Intel® Celeron® @1.4 GHz, single-core (CX2020), Intel® Core™ i7 @1.5 GHz, dual-core (CX2030) or Intel® Core™ i7 @2.1 GHz, quad-core (CX2040). The system interfaces are connected with PCI Express. The power supply module automatically recognizes the respective I/O system.

Quality control with high-precision signal acquisition
EtherCAT Terminals unite maximum performance with maximum accuracy and make special modules redundant due to the seamless integration of the measurement technology in the automation solution. The low measuring error increases the signal acquisition quality, while the high resolution improves the control quality. New items are high-precision thermocouple and weighing terminals.
Energy monitoring integrated into
I/O system
With the new product family “Power Measurement and Monitoring”, Beckhoff offers the possibility of power measure-
ment and high-precision power analysis directly in the EtherCAT terminal system. The momentary values of current and voltage are recorded at up to 10,000 samples/s and are made available to the higher-level PC controller for calculations or analyses.

The automation suite for all machinery from production to measurement machines
TwinCAT 3 is the new PC-based control software, with which the standard automation world is extended considerably. Embedded in Microsoft Visual Studio®, TwinCAT 3 offers the possibility to use C/C++ in addition to the IEC 61131 languages in order to program and debug applications in real-time. Modules developed in Matlab®/Simulink® can also be implemented in real-time via C/C++ code.
